The Junior League of the Great Lakes Bay Region invites the community to celebrate the start of the holiday season with its 36th annual Festival of Trees, a cherished tradition and signature fundraiser featuring a stunning display of decorated trees, wreaths, and garlands - all available to win through a festive raffle.

This year’s event will be held at the Great Hall Banquet & Convention Center in Midland, Michigan, from Friday, November 14 through Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Since its debut in 1987, the Festival of Trees has become one of the Great Lakes Bay Region’s most beloved holiday traditions, growing each year through the creativity of local designers and the support of community members.

“Festival of Trees is special because it brings together so many people - our members, partners, and the community.” said Festival of Trees Chair, Chelsea Nimmo. “Seeing the smiles on families' faces as they walk through the doors makes all the hard work worth it. The proceeds raised help us promote the Junior League’s mission to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. I'm honored to help carry forward this 35+ year tradition.”

This annual event transforms the Great Hall into a magical winter wonderland, featuring more than 130 trees, wreaths, and garlands designed and decorated by local businesses, artists, florists, interior designers, community members and even some League members! Attendees will have the chance to win these one-of-a-kind creations through a raffle, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Junior League’s leadership development and community initiatives.

“The Festival of Trees is the hallmark event that kicks off the holiday season in the Great Lakes Bay Region while raising vital funds to drive the Junior League's mission and create positive change across the communities” said Junior League of the Great Lakes Bay Region President, Tina Swanton. “Proceeds directly support the personal and professional development of our members, providing them with the skills, resources, and confidence to lead meaningful community initiatives along with grant opportunities for nonprofits that align with our focus area of Food Security.”

Attendees can enter the raffle by placing their tickets in the boxes for the trees, wreaths, or garlands they hope to win. Winners will be announced Sunday at 4 p.m. and live-streamed on Facebook. Winners need not be present but must arrange to pick up their items following the event (Sunday evening or Monday morning).
