Midland Public Schools Launches Strategic Planning Initiative

Midland Public Schools has launched a strategic planning initiative that will guide the future of our community's largest school district for the next five to ten years. The process will establish clear goals, objectives, and measures to track progress; identify the knowledge, skills, and qualities every MPS student should have when they graduate; and help shape future facility plans.

MPS can’t create an accurate long-term plan for our district without including your voice. There are a few ways you can share your input and participate in the planning process.

1. Digital Survey:
Complete a quick online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/MPSCommunity by November 25, 2025. This survey is for parents, guardians, and all community members. (A separate survey and other engagement opportunities will be provided for students and MPS staff.)

2. In-Person Listening Sessions:
If you’d rather share input in person, MPS will host a series of one-hour listening sessions to gather feedback. Community listening sessions are open to the general public. Separate listening sessions are available for current MPS parents/guardians. School families can attend a session at any school building, regardless of their home school. Registration is required for all listening sessions. You can register for all sessions at www.midlandps.org/strategicplan.
