Family & Children’s Services of Mid-Michigan Names Jodi Scorsone as Chief Executive Officer
Family & Children's Services of Mid-Michigan (FCS) has announced the appointment of Jodi Scorsone as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a comprehensive search conducted by the organization’s CEO Selection Committee. Scorsone has served as interim CEO since May 2026, providing leadership and continuity during the transition.
Scorsone brings an established understanding of FCS’s mission, programs, staff, community partnerships and the needs of the individuals and families the organization serves. Prior to assuming the interim CEO role, she served as Director of Fund Development, where she helped strengthen community relationships, advance fundraising efforts and support the organization’s long-term sustainability.
Her appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in her leadership and her ability to build on FCS’s longstanding commitment to accessible, compassionate services while guiding the organization through its next phase of strategic development.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to lead Family & Children’s Services. I’ve seen firsthand how much our staff cares about the people we serve and the difference their work makes every day. I’m also grateful for the community partners and supporters who believe in us and what we do. There is so much opportunity ahead for FCS, and I’m excited to build on the work we’ve already started, grow our impact in the community, and make sure we’re there for people when they need us.”
Colin Broom, President of the FCS Board of Directors and Chair of the CEO Selection Committee, said Scorsone emerged as the strongest candidate through the committee’s comprehensive evaluation process.
“Jodi demonstrated the leadership, judgment and commitment we were looking for in our next CEO. Throughout her time at FCS, she has built strong relationships, developed a deep understanding of our organization and shown a genuine commitment to our mission. Her service as interim CEO has given her the opportunity to demonstrate her leadership while navigating the responsibilities and challenges of the role. We are confident that Jodi is the right person to lead FCS forward, strengthen our organization and help us respond to the evolving needs of our community.”
As CEO, Scorsone will provide overall leadership and direction for the organization’s programs, operations, finances, staff and community relationships. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors and FCS leadership team, she will advance the organization’s strategic priorities, strengthen financial sustainability, support staff development and explore opportunities to expand services and improve access to care.
Founded in 1925, FCS has served the Midland community and the broader Great Lakes Bay Region for a century. As the organization looks ahead, its priorities include sustaining its legacy of service while responding to growing community needs, strengthening partnerships and ensuring that individuals and families can access the support they need.
“Jodi understands both the strengths that have sustained FCS for generations and the opportunities ahead of us,” Broom added. “We look forward to working with her as we continue to build on our history and position the organization for a strong and sustainable future.”
Scorsone’s appointment marks the next chapter for FCS as it continues its commitment to ensuring mental health care is accessible to everyone who needs it, regardless of age, financial circumstances, insurance status or where they live.
