Midland Child Advocacy Center's 13th annual Art + Advocacy Auction to be held May 14
Midland Child Advocacy Center's 13th annual Art + Advocacy Auction to be held May 14 from 5:30-9 p.m. at Creative 360, 5501 Jefferson Avenue.
Presented by Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, this event celebrates the intersection of art and advocacy, raising funds and awareness for the critical work of Midland Child Advocacy Center, in protecting and supporting children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Art + Advocacy's Starry Night Auction is one you won't want to miss. Guests are encouraged to come as they are or dress in the starry night theme. They will enjoy an amazing photo backdrop donated by Helium House, caricature drawings of them or their pets by Erik Johnson, live art created on stage, a signature cocktail — the Vinny's Sparkly Ginny Fizz featuring Three Bridges Gin (or sparkly mocktail), games, and dozens of raffle items!
Raffle items include creations from talented local and regional artists — paintings, prints, metalwork, and sculptures — and packages from local businesses and sponsors. One special piece was donated by Midland native, Cathy Guisewite, an original drawing from her long-running Cathy comic plus a bonus Midland CAC drawing.

Funds raised by the Art + Advocacy Auction will go directly to support the vital programs and services provided by Midland Child Advocacy Center including prevention education for both adults and children, intervention services for child abuse victims and their families, and forensic interviews. Midland CAC has been serving the Midland community for over forty-five years, and the Art + Advocacy Auction is crucial to maintaining their work.
Honorary chairs, Amy and John Wilson encourage you to support. "We invite you to join us for an evening of Art, Advocacy, and Community in support of the critical work of the CAC. Midland Child Advocacy Center is an organization we all hope we never need, but if we do or any of our friends and neighbors do, we are so grateful for their service. The CAC provides education across the Midland county school system to help children know it's okay to speak up, they listen to children who have experienced the unthinkable, and they support families during their darkest days."
Tickets are $40 and are available online at midlandcac.org/donate. Donations, sponsorship and raffle item donations are still welcome: info@midlandcac.org.
