MyPros Spotlight: Ema Lynch
This spotlight series is from Midland Young Professionals.
Midland Young Professionals (MYPros) is highlighting their MYPros members and what they love about Midland. In this edition, we will get to know Ema Lynch — an HR Consultant at Allied HR Solutions.
Ema has called Midland home for the past year, after moving here from Freeland. She’s been at Allied HR for 3.5 years, starting there while she was still attending Central Michigan University.
As an HR Consultant, Ema mostly works with small and growing businesses across the Great Lakes Bay Region. Her role focuses on ensuring organizations remain compliant while also supporting employees so they feel happy, valued, and equipped with the resources they need.
“I work with all kinds of clients, but I’d say nonprofits and smaller organizations are the majority,” she shared.
When it comes to fun in Midland, Ema can often be found downtown. She loves the Pedestrian Plaza, whether it’s for live music, adult recess, grabbing a bite to eat, or just playing cornhole and putt-putt with friends. She’s also a fan of the Plymouth Pool, calling it a hidden gem she plans to enjoy more often.
For Ema, MYPros has been an invaluable space to connect both personally and professionally.
“The personal and professional connections I've made have been great,” Ema shared. “A lot of organizations have hybrid or remote work schedules, so having personal connections and getting out in the community is huge. We're even hybrid here, so it's nice to get out, have that face to face interaction, and meet people from other industries. And on top of that, I've met some really good friends and we do things outside of MYPros now too.”
Her advice for young professionals considering joining? Don’t let nerves hold you back.
“It's scary going for the first time and walking in alone, but truly, I have never felt like I was left out or like I didn't belong at a MYPros event,” Ema said. “People are so friendly.”
